About me

Hi friends.

Just thought I should tell you a bit more about myself today, so here it goes...
I'm a blessed mother to two daughters- 3 weeks and 17 months, and I love mommy-hood so much. I enjoy spending time with my daughters and I love watching them grow up happy. I'm also a devoted mother to an amazing husband. We've been married almost 4 years, and I can't believe how time has just passed. It hasn't been the easiest years of our marriage, but it has truly been a blessed union and I love him so very much. We both love God and enjoy going to church more than anywhere else. We enjoy each other's company, and he makes me laugh (almost as much as he enjoys his own jokes)...lol!

I enjoy reading the Bible and I strive to be God's servant in everything I do. I am a Seventh Day Adventist with so much respect and admiration for my church and what it believes in- the second coming of Jesus Christ and keeping the Sabbath (Saturday).

I am currently completing my Honors degree in Psychology, and have taken on a new hobby in nails which has led me to realize my suppressed interest in beauty and fashion. I am a Psychology intern at an NGO in Pretoria, and I love spending time with children in need of academic assistance.

I love blogging, and I'm on the internet more hours than I should be- but this had improved my Research skills in more ways than I imagined. My current favourite sites are pinterest and facebook.

This year I look forward to exploring my talents more, completing my studies, and whatever God has in store for me:-)

New Beginnings

Happy New Year everyone!Hope 2012 was filled with joy and fulfilled promises.

I would like to apologize for being so quiet over the past few months- so many things happened in my life that resulted in me missing; such as raising a new born, being pregnant again, adjusting to the hubby's new job, furthering my studies, and venturing into a new hobby of nails and beauty.

In the midst of all the madness I felt so distant to God and I felt I was busy with so many things but not actually achieving anything, but sitting here right now I realize I achieved so much and I need to be more appreciative of that.

I joined a Non-Profit Organization as a Psychology Intern- and this was a great experience on it's own, but as part of my internship I started visiting a home for abandoned children helping them with their schoolwork and being their friend. Although I did not see them often enough due to work and my pregnancy; I think I benefited more than they did.

This year I hope to spend more time with these kids and help them achieve the best of their academic abilities, I hope to be a more organised mom and wife so I can spend more time with my family, I hope to blog more often, I hope to explore my talents more, and I hope to have a closer relationship with God.

Looking forward to a new year filled with promises:-)
